Not all of us can get away over spring break. For small business owners, the challenges of time vs. budget is always a concern. But in the interest of recharging your batteries and mindset, taking some time away is still important. Work will still be there when you return, and you can always count on the team at Green Hills Office Suites to pick up the slack in the meantime.
Here are a few of our favorite Nashville spring break activities to get you thinking.
Indoor Fun When the Weather is Frightful
March in middle Tennessee isn’t always the best weather-wise. It’s not unusual to see rain, freezing rain, or extreme cold temperatures in March. Of course, that’s not always the case, but if it is, here are a few places to turn up the fun without the chill.
Frist Art Museum
The gorgeous 1930s Art Deco building that houses the Frist Art Museum is just the tip of the iceberg. Even if you’ve been there before, they don’t have a permanent collection, so every time you go, it will be different. It’s also great for people who don’t know much about art, so it’s perfect for introducing your kids (or whoever’s tagging along) to the world of fine art.
Adventure Alley
If games and action are what you crave, Adventure Alley in Hendersonville has it all: bowling, indoor go-karts, roller skating, bungee jumping, mini golf, bumper cars, laser tag, rides, a wicked arcade, and so much more. It’s less than 30 minutes from Nashville by car and a great way to spend a day.
Game Terminal
And while we’re on the subject of games, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention Game Terminal. Most games are free to play with admission (adults get in free), and they have the region’s most extensive collection of pinball machines and arcade games. If the weather is good, there are also plenty of outdoor games, like cornhole, giant Jenga, giant beer pong, shuffleboard, and more.
The Gaylord Opryland Hotel
Spending a day at a hotel might not be the first thing you think of, but the Opryland Hotel is definitely not your typical hotel. Inside, you’ll find waterfalls, exhibits, waterslides, pools, an indoor boat ride, restaurants, and all kinds of things you can do without booking an overnight stay.
Nashville Zoo
The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere sprawls over 200 acres, so you’ll want to get your walking shoes on and choose a day when the weather is cooperating. You’ll find plenty of easy walking trails to take you through the park, where you can see more than 3000 animals of every variety. Check their events calendar for other fun things to do, like their annual Teddy Bear Clinic.
There’s something for everyone in Nashville during spring break and plenty to discover. While recharging those batteries, the folks at Green Hills Office Suites will be happy to answer your calls and keep your customers happy until you return. Let us know how we can help!
