At Green Hills Office Suites we not only love getting to know our members each month, but also our own team. This month we are highlighting our own Green Hills team members: Allie and Taylor. We discuss their unique journeys to Nashville as well as their interests outside of work. Continue reading to learn more about how Allie and Taylor help make Green Hills great.
Allie
Allie joined our team earlier this year as our Community Manager, coming from a background in Hospitality Management working for Marriott. She was born and raised in Texas but decided she wanted to venture off for college and attended the University of Missouri where she studied Hospitality Management. From there she moved back to Texas where she started working for Marriott in Austin, TX. After about two years there, she needed a change.
At the end of 2019, Allie moved to Nashville where she worked as the Front Desk Supervisor at the Marriott at Vanderbilt University. Unfortunately, because of Covid-19, her time there was short, and she had to find a new workplace. During this time, Allie really wanted to explore more of her likes and dislikes in her career. She worked for Amazon as a delivery driver, realized that was not for her, and then moved to a Wellness Coordinator at the Joint Chiropractic.
When she came across our opening as the Community Manager, she thought that this would be a perfect fit for her. She wanted to return to Hospitality but not so much the hotel aspect while also having more of a standard 9-to-5 job. When she came in to interview, she knew this would be a perfect fit for her and has not looked back since!
Allie loves working with the members and helping tend to their needs. She is excited to be coming up on her one-year anniversary with Green Hills Office Suites in January and looks forward to more years of engagement and fun. When Allie is not at work, she is either at home with her fur babies catching up on shows and movies or spending time with her family.
Taylor
Taylor graduated from the University of Kansas in 2020, where she studied dance and business. She was born and raised in in Springfield, Illinois but had always wanted to move to Nashville. She figured there was no better time to move to a new state than in the middle of a pandemic. It was a fresh start in a new town where she didn’t know anyone. Taylor quickly found work at a local dance studio; however, it was only part-time, so she needed to find another job. She had previous experience as a hostess and started serving at a brunch restaurant shortly after her move.
Taylor enjoyed meeting new people and became good friends with her coworkers, but ultimately decided that the food industry was not for her. She didn’t like the spotty scheduling and wanted something more stable. She was looking for a part time job that would fill time in her afternoons before teaching dance at night. Right after her interview she knew this was the job for her. Taylor has been the Member Service Coordinator since March of 2021. She loves everything about her job and likes getting to know all the members here at the office.
When she is not in the office, she is typically teaching dance or taking classes. Taylor is currently teaching dance four nights a week at two different studios. She enjoys staying busy throughout the week and has her plate full with three jobs and her fur baby Nala. On the weekends you can find her exploring Nashville or spending time with family and friends. Taylor is very thankful she gets to do what she loves and looks forward to her future here at the Green Hills Office Suites.
