This month we had the pleasure of sitting with Wanda Matos, the President of Bright Cleaning TN, LLC. She has been a member of Green Hills Office Suites for over 2 years now, and we have really enjoyed working with Wanda and her team.
Wanda started as an executive housekeeper in Florida back in 1999, after deciding that her original plan of being a hairdresser was not in the cards for her after all. Having enjoyed many family vacations in Tennessee, she decided to move her family to the Nashville area shortly after her career change. A single mother of two, she took a giant leap of faith, packing up and moving to an apartment that she had never seen before, in an area where she knew no one. Being the driven woman she is, she quickly got back to work in her new career path, continuing as an executive housekeeper for a well-known hotel in Nashville
Over the next 7 years, she worked her way up, learning all the ins and outs in the back-office world of hospitality. She soon became the Director of Rooms at Marriott, but still, she decided she would not be satisfied until she became the General Manager. It was in keeping with that goal which led her to eventually win the position of General Manager of the Extended Stay America in Nashville, in 2013.
Now, satisfied that Wanda had made it as far as she cared to in the hospitality industry, she set her sights on owning her own company, and so she started Bright Cleaning Solutions TN, LLC with her son, Bryan in 2015. She began with new construction cleaning for several contractors in the area, and that has really helped her company to grow since the construction industry never seems to slow down in Nashville!
Her new goals are to start a janitorial branch focused on commercial and office buildings. Once she conquers that, her ultimate dream is to enable others to gain franchise authorization from Bright Cleaning Solutions TN, LLC, and realize their own dreams of business ownership.
Wanda also really enjoys helping others. This includes business mentoring for women and also helping with translating for immigration and other legal purposes. She has a heart to give, and with the experience, she’s gained over the years, she has a lot to offer.
When I asked her what she loves the most about working with us at Green Hills Office Suites, she immediately highlighted the high-end image that working in Green Hills has given her company. She also loves our staff, and the professional support we offer to our members. We hope to continue working with Wanda over the years, while we watch and help her company grow!
