This month, we had the distinct pleasure to sit with Josh Rogers, a mortgage broker with Equity Prime Mortgage, LLC. He opened his Nashville branch with us just a few months ago, here at Green Hills Office Suites.
This is by no means his first venture in the mortgage and finance industry, which he has been in for over 15 years. Originally from Texas, Josh headed to Tennessee to attend college at Middle Tennessee State University, where he studied and earned a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, and then proceeded with classes in pre-med. He quickly realized that the medical field just really wasn’t for him but discovered that his love of numbers and natural knack for sales would be a better fit.
He started his new career path selling DNA kits, a great transition between the two worlds of microbiology and sales. Then he moved into the auto finance industry, a position which he loved, but it was too hard on his family and so he needed to look elsewhere. As it happened, Josh and his wife purchased a new home and got to know the mortgage broker who handled their new loan. She offered him a job, and he was off and running!
Now, he has opened his own branch of a very reputable national company based out of Atlanta called Equity Prime Mortgage, LLC. He has already grown his staff to three, and is experiencing a solid start in Nashville’s booming real estate market! Josh decided to open his own branch because he really wanted the opportunity to bring the service and reputation of Equity Prime to Nashville. He told us that what he loves most about what he does, is that it’s all about helping people, and that’s what really fulfills him. He gets to make dreams come true for families all over Middle Tennessee, and he rests his head easy, knowing that he always does the best job possible for each of them.
When I asked him what advice he would give young entrepreneurs who are looking to start a new business or career, he told me that it’s really just about finding and following your passion. We all know it’s true that if you love what you do, you never work a day!
Josh shared with me the reasons why he chose Green Hills Office Suites to build his business in. He enjoys the privacy of his office, and professional atmosphere we provide. We are just a couple of miles away from his daughter’s school, with whom he is very involved, so it’s a very convenient location for him to drive to and from for school events and sports practice.
